Purchasing your man: an initiative way


Can you image being able to “purchase”  Mr. Right in a store? Actually, Adopt un mec opened its physical store in Paris, Rue de la Bonheur, in September 10th. This show lasted 10 days!! During that period, different men were displayed on the shop windows packaged like gaint Ken dolls. In the same time, women could go inside to choose the man that caught their attention, these women had the power to decided to begin to date or not.

The majority of women were so surprised and satisfied by such an innovative display and activity.

Blonde Amandine Camporro said: "I think it's great. It's different. For once we have a choice and we don't have to put up with the trials and tribulations of seduction so it's a really great idea." In addition, she thinks the set-up shows the men have that highly-converted sense of humor.

It's  a great touchpoint for an online dating website to communicate directly, face to face, with their target customers. As we know, on the adopt un mec, women have the final decision to decide whether she wants to date this man or not. And this promotional show also emphasized that point. 

The purpose of this sale promotion was  to match the adopt un mec’s positioning and put women in the driver's place of the dating market. This is one of the biggest, if not the biggest differentiation for adopt un mec from its competition.

Besides, we have to say this promotion show was a real success, not only did it attract the potential customers’ attentions, but also created great media hype. It was an incredibly  creative way to put Adopt un Mec on the spotlight.
