Compared to Meetic, Adopte Un Mec succeded in reaching the so difficult 15-25 year-olds market....



If you refer to one  of our articles about the TABOO of online dating, you should know that it can be considered  as a shame to subscribe to a dating website. It implies that you are not attractive enough or you don't have the qualities necessary to find love by yourself, and thus you need to resort to the internet.
The 15-25 years old are partucilarly sentitive to this point (influenced by trends, society, peer pressure...) and are therefore very difficult to attract. 

The solution has been given by adopt un mec: create a very original idea and reverse the tendency: Make people proud to be part of a dating website. It has to be more than a  classic concept dating site, very fashion, trendy because it breaks the rules !

They understood that humoristic tone will help to make young people confortable, more relax toward the taboo problem. They also use a specific language to target the 15-25 years old : ironic tone and fun!



Now, they are already the leader toward the single 18-35 years old (86% of their susbcribers are 18-35)

PS: Taboo not totally resolved. It is still common to feel ashamed to be part of a dating website. But the important change is that it is less judged than it was before.
